Research seminar

The great attraction of mathematics lies in its ability to make imaginative leaps across various disciplines. This makes mathematics fascinating, especially when applied to solving real-life problems. The emphasis on mathematics education has been increasing since the Decade of Education for Sustainable Development began in 2005. Since then, various dimensions of sustainability and their connection to mathematics have expanded, leading to the transformation of advanced mathematical knowledge into critical thinking and practical actions for sustainable development. The better humankind behaves, the smarter the world becomes. In this talk, I will discuss the beauty and contributions of mathematics in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
