Program's Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Midwifery at INES-Ruhengeri is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to provide high-quality maternal and newborn care. Developed under the 4X4 Health Workforce Reform initiative, the program aligns with national and global standards for midwifery education, focusing on evidence-based practices, critical thinking, and ethical care.

Through a combination of theoretical learning, practical training in modern clinical facilities, and community-based healthcare experience, students are prepared to address the diverse needs of mothers, newborns, and families. The curriculum emphasizes maternal health, neonatal care, reproductive health, and the promotion of safe delivery practices.
