INES-Ruhengeri, in partnership with the University of Parma, is pleased to announce a specialized Summer School titled: “Pharmaceutical Security and Sovereignty in the Context of Public Health and Communicable Diseases.”
This four-day training initiative will take place at Lemigo Hotel in
Kigali, from June 16 to 19, 2025, and is part of the ACHIEVE-IT
project (CUP: D91I23001030006), funded by the Italian Ministry of
University and Research (MUR).
The program is designed to build competence and raise awareness on
pharmaceutical security, a
critical issue for countries transitioning from low- to middle-income status.
It will offer a dynamic learning environment through a combination of expert-led
lectures, hands-on workshops, group discussions, and practical sessions
with local stakeholders.
The Summer School targets academic and professional staff from Rwandan
and Burundian universities, especially those working in fields such as Pharmacy,
Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, and Epidemiology.
This collaborative training aims to promote regional expertise and
encourage multi-sectoral engagement to strengthen public health resilience and
pharmaceutical sovereignty.
