From March 4 to 6, 2025, a delegation from INES-Ruhengeri participated in the inaugural Multistakeholder Forum and Management Meeting of the ANSWER Project. The event, held in collaboration with key stakeholders, aimed to address critical issues related to inclusion in higher education and strengthen the project's management.
The first day of the forum, led by Rwanda’s Ministry of Education (MINEDUC), focused on reviewing a comprehensive report on the state of inclusion in higher education in Rwanda. This session brought together experts, policymakers, and academic leaders to evaluate progress, identify challenges, and propose actionable solutions to enhance inclusivity in Rwanda’s tertiary education system.
Over the following two days, project consortium members, including the University of Alicante (Spain), the University of Macedonia (Greece), MINEDUC, the University of Rwanda, INES-Ruhengeri, East African University Rwanda, and UWEZO Youth Empowerment, engaged in strategic discussions on project management, planning, and reporting. These sessions were designed to ensure the effective implementation of the ANSWER Project, which seeks to promote inclusive education and empower marginalized groups in higher education.
INES-Ruhengeri’s participation in this high-level forum underscores its commitment to fostering inclusive education and contributing to the development of Rwanda’s higher education sector. By collaborating with international and local partners, the institution continues to play a pivotal role in advancing educational equity and innovation.
The ANSWER Project, funded under the Erasmus+ program, is a testament to the power of multistakeholder collaboration in addressing pressing educational challenges. As the forum progresses, stakeholders remain optimistic about the project’s potential to drive meaningful change and create a more inclusive future for higher education in Rwanda and beyond.
