Mr. Lucas Wamalwa Wanangeye is a Kenyan citizen currently employed at INES-Ruhengeri (Institute of Applied Sciences), where he serves as the Acting Head of the Department of Library and Information Sciences. He holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science, a Bachelor of Science in Information Science, and a Diploma in Information Studies.

With 12 years of experience in the field, Mr. Wamalwa Wanangeye is an accomplished information professional with a strong background in Information Management, Records Management, ICT, Knowledge Management, and Librarianship. He has worked in various capacities in both public and private organizations, including positions at The Technical University of Kenya, Kenya National Library Services, and Mount Kenya University (across Kigali, Kisii, and Mombasa Campuses).

As an active researcher in information science, Mr. Wamalwa Wanangeye has contributed significantly to the field, with seven publications in peer-reviewed journals. He possesses expertise in digital and cybersecurity, citation, and referencing using software such as Mendeley and Zotero, as well as auditing and plagiarism detection with Turnitin software. His diverse skill set and professional experience make him a valuable asset in the realm of information and library sciences.
