Janvier Ntwali is a lecturer and a Senior Researcher at INES Ruhengeri, in the department of Biotechnologies. He is a doctoral student in the Department of Agriculture Engineering, University of Hohenheim, Germany. He holds a Master of Engineering in Fermentation Engineering from South China University of Technology and Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology from Kigali Institute of Science and Technology.

He is also a Fellow of Borlaug Fellowship Program 2015 University of Nebraska Lincoln. In 2013 he participated in a Tailor-made-training on postharvest technology and food processing that was organized by VRIAN Projects P.V. He has finished a Postgraduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from University of Rwanda, College of Education (2014-2016).
